DESCRIPTION: The 2020 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 lapped Laguna Seca quicker than a Ferrari 458, AMG GT 63 4Matic+, and various flavors of Nissan GT-R. The GT4 arrives four years after the original, a car so roundly brilliant it seems unlikely Porsche will be able to improve upon it. Peel away the new car's fractionally sharper bodywork and you'll eventually find the same platform that underpinned the previous model. The flat-six at the heart of this car, while it displaces 4.0 liters like the one in the temporarily discontinued 911 GT3, is not at all related to that engine.
Porsche bolts a 4.0-liter flat-six with 420 horses and manual transmission into the new Cayman GT4 and in doing so fixes the few things we didn't love about the Cayman. Launch from 0-60 is 4.1secs
