DESCRIPTION: The 2017 Porsche 718 Boxster is at the top of its game and a class leader for open-top sports cars. More powerful and fuel-efficient than the six-cylinder models they replace. The 718 is instantly recognizable as Boxster, many of the body panels are new. Some of the detailing, such as the new head- and taillights, is exquisite and the 3-D "Porsche" lettering at the rear is a key differentiator from Boxsters of old. The S is additionally available with PASM sport suspension, which lowers the ride height by 0.86 inch and offers retuned dampers. Also fun is hitting the Sport Response button, which is located in the center of the mode switch. Hitting the button on PDK- and Sport Chrono-equipped Boxsters basically shortcuts you into Sport Plus mode for 20 seconds, upping boost, firming up the engine mounts, and sharpening up throttle and transmission response.
The 718 Boxster S is more powerful still, its 2.5-liter, turbo flat-four making 350 hp and 309 lb-ft of torque, 43 lb-ft more than before. The 718 Boxster S will do a 4.0-second time with the PDK.
